A man wanted in connection with at least three murders in the Houston area was captured Tuesday morning after a week of crime, according to authorities. The deputies briefly continued Jose Gilberto Rodriguez, 46, as he was seen driving in the Houston area, tweeted Sheriff Ed County of Harris County. A PT Cruiser stolen from Johnson's home was found Saturday in a mall in Houston, the sheriff's office said. After reviewing the surveillance images, investigators published images of a suspect identified as Gilberto Rodriguez.
A second woman, Allie Barrow, 28, was found shot dead about half a mile away, at the back of a mattress store.
A third person, Edward Magana, was found dead in a mall Monday, less than two miles away, the channel reported. Magana also worked in a mattress store – Mattress One.
Acevedo testified that Gilberto Rodriguez was paroled for unspecified crimes when he cut off his ankle monitor a few days ago
. "A serial killer is three or more murders – separate homicides – usually without motives," he told reporters. "The pattern of this type seems to be flying in a lot of cases."
But during the press conference, Gonzalez said the evidence seemed to point to the direction of the serial killer
