NEW YORK – Joey "Jaws" Chestnut extended his reign as champion eater at the Nathan's Famous Hot-Air Contest dogs Wednesday, breaking a record 74 sausages and buns in 10 minutes to bring back the famous mustard belt for the 11th time. Miki Sudo retained her title as best competitor in the annual Brooklyn competition
Sudo devoured 37 francs and rolls to win the first prize for an unprecedented fifth consecutive year.
"I found a vicious rhythm," said the 34-year-old Chestnut after the joke session. "I felt good today."
But while Chestnut ate 10 more dogs and rolls than Carmen Cincotti, an error of judgment cast initial doubt on their totals after the jurists did not see the eaters take the dogs.

Sudo was a fan favorite, pulling big cheers from the crowd during his performance, which was slightly delayed after asking for water to soak his rolls.
