The Spain maritime rescue saved more than 340 immigrants in the Mediterranean on Saturday, one of them, a man trying to cross the sea on a tire of truck. Spain is replacing Italy as a destination country chosen by immigrants.
These people from North Africa (Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria) traveled on 12 boats, of which 10 were sailing in the Strait of Gibraltar, in the Alboran Sea, the westernmost part of the Mediterranean. Among them were women and minors, apparently healthy
