The Wayra I wind farm was built by Enel Green Power Peru, a 20-year supply contract signed by the Ministry of Energy and Mines. In total, a $ 165 million investment was made for the 132 megawatt wind farm.

Minister ÍSmodes applauded the investment made by Enel and added that Wayra I will produce wind energy by avoiding each year the emission of about 285,000 tons of carbon dioxide. carbon in the atmosphere.

He emphasized that the generation and use of this clean energy would also help take care of the planet, reduce greenhouse gases and global warming.
