Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and Miguel Díaz-Canel, President of State Boards and Ministers were proposed to Santa Clara delegates of honor at the Ninth Congress of Defense Committees of Cuba the revolution.

The appointment took place today at the CDR Provincial Assembly in Villa Clara, the last of these meetings held in the country, before the national meeting scheduled for September 26th, 27th and 28th.

The delegates of the largest mass organization present at the important meeting, in addition to supporting the proposal, analyzed the main issues that concern the RDCs to carry out the tasks of the Revolution.

General Lázaro Cárdenas Polytechnic's meeting was chaired by members of the Central Committee Julio Lima Corzo, first party secretary at Villa Clara and Carlos Rafael Miranda, National Coordinator of the Defense Committees of the Revolution, and Esperanza González Barceló, Vice President of the Provincial Assembly of People's Power.

Among the interventions of the participants, the importance of youth participation in the powerful organization created by the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz, the leader of the Revolution, who placed all confidence in the new generations, was highlighted.

To strengthen the community youth detachment movement, it was agreed to hold the first provincial meeting dedicated to Fidel, which will be attended by youth from 13 municipalities on July 11 and 12, with a broad program that will end by a march Revolution Square Ernesto Che Guevara.

The interventions of the delegates coincided in the strengthening of ideological tasks and in the fight against corruption and indiscipline, reinforcing the revolutionary vigilance and accomplishing the tasks with the Party, the Government and the other mass organizations.

As a result of the work carried out, the Vanguardia diplomas were awarded to the municipality of Cifuentes, Destacados Corralillo and Santo Domingo, while Santa Clara obtained a special recognition.
