WASHINGTON – Police search the driver of a vehicle that struck another car while he was being chased by a secret service agent on Interstate 66.
In a statement , the Secret Service reported that one of its agents had seen a vehicle wrongly on I Street Northwest and attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver did not stop.
The driver of the vehicle then took I-66 westbound in eastbound lanes.
Shortly after, the suspect's vehicle struck another vehicle heading in the right direction, but the driver of the suspect's car was able to leave the premises on foot and remain at large.

The driver of the vehicle who was hit by the suspect was also transported to the hospital with non-fatal injuries.
The eastbound lanes of I-66 were closed at the hospital. or a little over an hour as a result of the crash.
The Secret Services said that they would continue to support the investigation, but the Arlington County Police Department will be the lead agency in the investigation.
