An offender who was born a woman but changed sex was interned in a men's prison in Argentina . The head of Gualeguaychú Prison Service, Marcelo Sánchez, informed that he was transferred to Unit 9 of the Entre Ríos province, because in the public records he appears as a man; however, the offender requested not to be transferred to a men's prison.
