The 23rd Lima International Book Fair opens its doors today

The book and the reading party begin. Today, at 7 pm, the 23rd International Book Fair of Lima (FIL Lima) opens at the Exhibition Center

. The appointment is at the Auditorium Blanca Varela-BBVA Continental, in the Próceres Park of the Independence of Jesús María, block 17 of Salaverry Avenue.

FIL Lima, which runs from July 20 to 5, is organized by the Peruvian Chamber of Books, presided over by José Carlos Alvariño. The inauguration ceremony will be attended by the Minister of Culture, Patricia Balbuena, and with her, the Peruvian authorities as visitors. Also, Peruvian writers and foreign authors invited.

On this occasion, the edition of this fair has as guest country of honor to Spain, for this reason, Ernesto de Zulueta Habsburgo-Lorraine, Ambassador of Spain to Peru; David García Rivas, Assistant Deputy Director of Books, Reading and Spanish Literatures of the Ministry of Culture and Sports; and Rosa Montero, guest author of the Spanish delegation. The mayor of Jesús María Municipality, Carlos Bringas

Among the writers invited to FIL Lima 2018 are, among others, the Spaniards Ray Loriga, José Ovejero, Juan Casamayor, Marta Sanz; the Mexicans Jorge Volpi, Margot Glantz, Guadalupe Nettel; also, the Colombian Laura Restrepo, the Chilean Alberto Fuguet and the star author Jonathan Franzen.
