Residents of Metro Atlanta woke up to a series of violent storms moving into the area.
A severe storm warning is in effect for the counties of Barrow, Gwinnett, Hall and Walton until 7:15. Saturday.
These storms could be the strongest confronted by the region, although others could appear later in the day, according to Brian Monahan, a meteorologist at Channel 2 Action News. There is a risk of Dispersion However, it might not be as dark as a map of the stormy storm painted in orange could make it look, said the chief meteorologist for Channel 2 Action News Glenn Burns.
"During the night we will hear lightning, thunder and sometimes Heavy rains locally, but the good news is that it will weaken as it moves into northwest and west Georgia, "Burns said.
