Former presidential candidate Guillermo Lasso insisted today that the development opportunity for his country "is in the world" and therefore he reiterated the need for the Andean nation to enter the Pacific Alliance .

Lasso congratulated and supported the Ecuadorians who announced their participation in V Encuentro Empresarial group to be held next week in Mexico and on their Twitter profile attached to the announcement of the National Federation of Chambers of Commerce of Ecuador to Promote Membership in the Alliance .

Next Tuesday, in Puerto Vallarta (Mexico), will be held the 13th Presidential Summit of the Pacific Alliance (AP) which will be attended by the leaders of member countries

Following the interest of Ecuador to be accepted as an "Associated State" the Ecuadorian Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Pablo Campana, will attend a working meeting to continue the steps initiated in this regard, recalled the Committee on Ecuadorian Affairs in a statement.

In the letter stressed that Monday an Ecuadorian trade delegation, led by Patricio Alarcón, president of the Ecuadorian Enterprise Committee and the Quito Chamber of Commerce will participate in the V Business Encounter of group.

In the business mission they will also participate Roberto Aspiazu, President of the Ecuadorian-Mexican Binational Chamber and Executive Director of the Ecuadorian Enterprise Committee

"The Ecuadorian group will also seek to establish a roadmap of the business sector to accelerate the accession of Ecuador to the loc and the signing of a trade agreement with Mexico ;

On March 15 Lasso of the opposition Movement Create Opportunities (CREO), applauded the possibility of the entry of the country into the Alliance of Pacific .

"If this initiative is carried out, we will support it decisively.It was a proposal from Ecuador's CREO campaign and it would be a very beneficial step for Ecuadorians," Lasso said at the time

in reference to the statements made shortly before by Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno on the study of his government. "the opportunity to join the Pacific Alliance, a trade pact between Chile, Colombia, Peru and Mexico"
