LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL (PA) – Sheriff's officials say that a man was injured in an industrial accident at Walt Disney World, hours after another man was killed in a separate accident.
Orange County Sheriff spokeswoman Ingrid Tejada-Monforte said in a press release that the man fell near Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge on Monday night. He called 911 and was taken to the hospital to treat injuries that did not seem deadly.
Earlier Monday, Tejada-Monforte stated that Juan Alberto Ojeda was declared dead at the scene near the Pop Century Resort
. In a statement released Monday, Walt Disney World Resort President George A. Kalogridis called Ojeda's death a tragic accident and said the company was providing resources and care to people affected. His statement did not provide details on the nature of the accident, which remains under investigation.
