Pete Buttigieg in quarantine after security guard test positive

Schiller’s statement indicates that the agent has been in “close contact” with Buttigieg as recently as Monday morning.

Buttigieg tested negative on Monday and showed no symptoms, the statement said.

Buttigieg received his first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, and Schiller said he would receive the second dose at the end of the quarantine period.

An additional member of the security team will also be quarantined due to close contact with the officer.
