Pete Davidson’s tattoo removal trip is a major pain – in more ways than one.
The “Saturday Night Live” star, 27, revealed he was rubbing ink in December and opened up about the “really embarrassing” process of Tuesday’s episode of “Late Night With Seth Meyers” .
“Burning them is worse than getting them because not only do they burn your skin, but you are wearing those big glasses, right? So you can’t see anything, and the doctor is there with you, ”Davidson began.
“Before you laser each tattoo, you need to hear it announce what the tattoo is to make sure you want to keep it or not. So I’ll just be sitting up there from the Pro-Nox [nitrous oxide], which I really appreciate a lot… and then all of a sudden I’ll just hear, “Are you keeping the Stewie Griffin from smoking a little?”
The “King of Staten Island” star, who is currently dating “Bridgerton” actress Phoebe Dynevor, also shared that laser-on tattoos were a practical decision inspired by her profession.
“Honestly, I never thought I would have the opportunity to act and I really like it,” he said, explaining that he should be on movie sets three hours early. so that the makeup department covers all of its ink.
While Davidson’s tattoos range from depictions of movie and TV characters to real-life icons like Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Hillary Clinton, we’re guessing he won’t miss some of his starting designs – like the ones dedicated to ex-fiancée Ariana Grande, several of which he had already concealed.
The comedian had some starting tips for aspiring actors who are considering getting a tattoo: “If you want to get a tattoo, just make sure you really want it and you’re not over mushrooms.”
