Peyton Manning just couldn’t help it.

The former Colts and Broncos quarterback took some time during his acceptance into the Professional Football Hall of Fame Sunday night to take a friendly hit against former rival Tom Brady. The Buccaneers quarterback. who turned 44 last week, was in Canton, Ohio to support Manning, who is 11-6 all-time against.

Manning, 45, referred to Brady when discussing the time allotted for hall acceptance speeches each year.

“Speaking of rivals, my good friend Tom Brady is here tonight,” said Manning, who has won two Super Bowls and five MVPs. “By the time Tom Brady is inducted in his first year of eligibility in 2035, he will only have time to post his acceptance speech on his Instagram account.”

Brady, who won his seventh Super Bowl ring last season, has accepted a contract extension with Tampa Bay who signed him until the 2022 season. He shows no signs of slowing down, even playing last season with a ripped MCL. Brady threw for 4,633 yards and 40 touchdowns with 12 interceptions last season.

Brady joked in a Twitter post before Manning’s induction that he was only attending because “I just have to make sure he’s really done. I can’t risk this guy coming back….
