PG&E interactive map shows if you will lose power during rotating blackouts in California

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) – There is now a way to check if your home will be affected by possible rolling blackouts, PG&E officials say.

As a record-breaking heat wave sweeps through California, the state’s Independent System Operator (ISO) issued a Flex Alert for the state urging customers to save energy from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. . See you on Wednesday.

The utility company said service disruptions would likely continue Tuesday afternoon and evening. They have provided an interactive map that customers can use to track outages.

PG&E customers can enter their address here to determine if their home will be affected.

Energy conservation is necessary due to an increase in demand, mainly due to more air conditioning and other equipment used to stay cool.

The Flex Alert remains in effect when the sun goes down, as solar energy production decreases even if the heat remains into the evening.

Possible rotating power failures are as follows:

Block numbers 1K – 1R could lose power at 4 p.m.

Block numbers 1S – 2C could lose power at 5 p.m.

2D – 3C block numbers could lose power at 6 p.m.

Block Numbers 3D – 4P could lose power at 7 p.m.

Block numbers 4Q – 6E could lose power at 8 p.m.

Block numbers 6F – 7H could lose power at 9pm

Block numbers 7I – 7O could lose power at 10 p.m.

Block number 50 is not subject to service interruptions.
