PHILADELPHIA – Phillies all-star receiver JT Realmuto started in the first inning against the Los Angeles Dodgers after catching a foul on his mask on Wednesday night.

Realmuto was controlled by the team’s coaches but stayed in the game to catch up with the rest of the first. Andrew Knapp hit a blow for Realmuto in the first and stayed in the game to catch.

There was no immediate update on the status of Realmuto.

Realmuto is hitting .268 with 13 homers and 52 RBIs in 92 games and was instrumental in leading the Phillies to first place in the NL East. He hit a solo home run for the National League in the All-Star game last month.
