Philadelphia ranked # 1 in the list of most infested bed bug cities

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) – Philadelphia now has the dubious distinction of being the worst bedbug problem in the country, according to Terminix.

This depends on the number of service calls made last year.

However, Terminix says that bed bugs are not just home problems, they are also a major problem during summer travel.

The company said not to just check mattresses and hotel room linens for apple seed-sized insects, but also look for cream-colored nymphs and small translucent eggs.

They recommend hanging all clothing, not using furniture drawers, storing luggage on a luggage rack and immediately washing clothes in hot water when you return home.
