Cagayan priest Mark Ventura's purported illicit cases with several women could be the "strongest" motive behind his murder , President Duterte said Friday

During his visit to Davao City on Friday evening, the President read a part of a confidential police report on the case of Ventura, who claimed that he was a womanizer who spawned a child.
"Strongest Ang is actually babae [women]," Duterte said about the suspected motive behind the priest murder during a forum of science and technology in Davao City Fr iday night.
"There is a great possibility that the first motive, the love triangle, is the main reason why Fr. Mark Anthony Ventura was liquidated by a person still unidentified because of so many women who would have been linked to him, "he said.
Reading the report, the president said that women were "brides and daughters businessmen, politicians, and who have the ability to operate highly organized men's services."
He said the police retrieved text messages about "chatter" between Ventura and some women.
Duterte joked that he would have liked to be friends with Ventura after noticing that his wives were beautiful.

"The information got that he had a child with a woman still unidentified in Cagayan," he revealed. Duterte said the police did not ignore the "political motive" behind the murder of Ventura last April.
