The new Toyota Supra, one of the most anticipated new sports cars in the world, will make its international debut as a prototype at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this summer.
The development model will be seen in action on the hill course at the famous celebration of the automobile in the UK, making an exclusive contribution to the program of the year of the Silver Jubilee of festival. The prototype will be driven by two of the people leading its development: Chief Engineer Testuya Tada, who has overall responsibility for the Supra project, and the main driver Herwig Daenens.

The Supra prototype will be camouflaged in the black-red and white colors of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing and will be in action on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the festival, July 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th.
Thousands of automotive enthusiasts attending the festival will also have the opportunity to take a look at the Toyota GR Supra Racing concept. Created by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, this concept announced the return of Supra's name during its unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show. It explores the potential of a high-performance competition model, with spectacular bodies made of advanced composite lightweight materials, a lowered suspension, racing wheels and a cockpit equipped to competition standards.
TOYOTA GAZOO Racing is spearheading Toyota's global sports program and developing exclusive, performance-oriented road cars, including the recently introduced GR-Yaris. In the FIA World Endurance Championship, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing won Toyota's first victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with a brace this season and the TOYOTA TS050 Hybrid # 8 which claims the historic victory will be in competition TOYOTA GAZOO Racing also participates at the highest international level of the FIA World Rally Championship with the Yaris WRC, winning two victories in its first season in 2017 and winning a victory over the Rally of Argentina and a number of podiums. Toyota expects its new Toyota Supra to reach the market in the first half of 2019.
