CEBU CITY – A barangay counselor was shot dead shortly after attending a meeting at Kalunasan Barangay Hall on Tuesday afternoon.
identified the fatality as Ruel Mabano.

The victim was a former police officer who was on his first term as police said that according to witnesses, two men on motorbikes were seen near the barangay gate just before the incident.
When Mabano emerged from the barangay hall, the two men approached him.
The victim died on the spot with a gunshot wound to the head. The attackers left after the attack.
