Eastern winds, or hot, humid air from the Pacific Ocean, will generally bring warm weather to most parts of the country over the next few days.
The Philippine Department of Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services (PAGASA) said that the easterly winds will create partly cloudy skies with occasional rains or thunderstorms from Sunday to Monday.
However, the public should be aware of any flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms that may occur in the afternoon or evening.
By mid-week, the northeastern monsoon or amihans will bring slightly cooler and partly cloudy to sometimes cloudy weather and risk of light rain over Luzon.
This includes the Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region and the Bicol Region, as well as the Aurora and Quezon Provinces.
The rest of Luzon will continue to have partly cloudy to sometimes cloudy skies and small isolated rains.
Likewise, the Eastern Visayas and Caraga will continue to suffer the effects of the tail of the cold front, while the rest of the Visayas and Mindanao will experience localized storms.
On Friday, PAGASA said that the eastward migration of Siberian high pressure to the north Pacific will spread the end of the cold front.
As a result, the Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
Most of Luzon will be partly cloudy with some light rains due to amihan.
Until now, PAGASA does not provide for the formation of a low pressure area or a tropical cyclone that can affect the country throughout the week.
According to PAGASA historical data, one or two tropical cyclones invaded the country or landed in November.
