ALBAY, Philippines (UPDATED) – Broadcaster Joey Llana was shot dead while driving his car along Barangay Peñafrancia, Daraga City, Friday, July 20.

Wilson Lllana stated that his cousin Joey en route to Legazpi for his 92.3 FM Home Radio Legazpi radio show when he was ambushed.

According to a report by the regional police office 5, unidentified gunmen ambushed Joey around 4:45 am along the alternative road to Daraga.

He suffered several gunshot wounds in his head and body. The first responders reported Joey dead at about 6:05 am
