Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 with triple rear camera sensors to launch soon in India

Asus launched the ZenFone Max Pro M1 this year in April for Rs 10,999. The phone comes with some of the great specs and marks a comeback of Asus in the budget segment. The good news for Asus phone lovers is that they may soon see a ZenFone Max Pro M1 successor now. The Taiwanese smartphone company is said to be working on ZenFone Max Pro M2.

The information was shared by the famous tipster Roland Quandt who on Twitter shared sparse details of the rumoured phone. According to the info shared by him, the phone will bear the model number ZB631KL and come with triple camera set up. Sadly, this is the only detail we get from this particular tweet and chat thread. Nothing more like the resolution, alignment or lens type have been disclosed. The pricing details or the launch date have also not been revealed. Quandt said that the phone could launch soon.

A separate tweet from Quandt hints that Asus in total may launch four models of the phone with two of them being India-focused variants.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 is expected to feature a 6-inch full HD+ screen and may be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with 4GB RAM and 128GB or 64GB of storage. The phone is said to have triple camera set up on the back and a single camera on the front.

The another Max M2 with model number ZB633KL will also sport the same 6-inch FHD+ display but will be powered by Snapdragon 636 processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. The phone is expected to sport a 13MP front camera and dual camera setup on the back.

Asus’ last launched phones in India were ZenFone Max M1 (ZB556KL) and ZenFone Lite L1 (ZA551KL). Both are budget phones. The ZenFone Lite L1 (ZA551KL) is priced at Rs 6,999 while the ZenFone Max M1 (ZB556KL) is priced at Rs 8,999. The phones are available via Flipkart.
