Beware of phishing e-mails with a "verify now" link, Unibank's Banco De Oro (BDO) warned its customers on Tuesday.


In a Facebook post, BDO has alerted its customers against a fake e-mail and authored them to "verify now" that "enable malware and give direct access to personal data."

It then instructed its customers to forward the fake e-mail to [email protected] and immediately delete the e-mail.

It also urged its customers to report on the fake e-mail by posting it on their personal Facebook accounts, or commenting on or messaging the BDO Facebook page about it with hashtag #BDOAntiFraud.

BDO reiterated it would never ask its customers' for their one-time password (OTP), personal identification number (PIN), or password. / kg a
