Bootleg Beatles Back
I do not think there is anyone alive in this world who still dreams of being able to watch a live performance by the legendary Beatles. Now, when I say legendary, I mean legendary in big uppercase letters because these mopheaded Liverpool boys have indeed become legends for all time. But there is no way that a Beatles concert will happen. And I do not think I would even be interested in a virtual reality version. The group is dead.
John Lennon has been away for more than 30 years. George Harrison, too, for only a few years less. I know that Paul McCartney, now 76, is very active and very busy. He announced a new tour, released a new album of original material entitled Egypt Station. Why, he even made a most comforting carpool karaoke around Liverpool with James Corden a few weeks ago. But all that, it's just because we're McCartney, not like a Beatle.
The drummer of ex Beatle Ringo Starr is not going bad either. Recently dubbed, he is now Sir Ringo, has released an album, Give More Love and regularly tours with his band The All-Starrs. He celebrated his 78th birthday on July 7th at a Peace and Love Salute event at the Hard Rock Café in Nice, France. Starr did it at noon on July 7th at the Hard Rock Café, where it's located in the world. He enjoins the fans to do the salute at 12 o'clock. on their own schedule. As a result, 60 countries have made a hi and a hello this year.
But enough of Ringo. Let's get back to the Beatles live. If you still want a taste of the Beatles concert experience, then be happy that there is the Beatle Bootleg show to turn to. An excerpt from the Beatlemania West End revue in London, the tribute band has made its Beatles act for almost 40 years now and get mostly positive reactions.
With accurate costumes and musical instruments in the minutest detail, those who watched them at their last concert here will swear that they almost look like reality. As one critic wrote, "It's not John, Paul, George and Ringo – but you simply will not believe it." The guys who play as Fabulous Four make a perfect performance and even have those pretty English accents. It's time to savor the good news, they'll be back in town for the greatest Beatles songs of all time.
So, for the only Beatles show you can watch in this life, check out The Beatles Beatles. on his Filipino tour. September 3rd at Santa Rosa Sports Coliseum in Santa Rosa, Laguna; September 5 in the plenary room of the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City; September 6th at the LausGroup Event Center in San Fernando, Pampanga; and September 8 at the IC3 Congress Center in Cebu.
The Filipino public will be entitled to Beatles tunes that the Bootleggers have never played live before. These will include pieces from the Beatles' white album, which was released on November 22, 1968 and marks its 50th year of release on the market. Part of the show The Bootleg Beatles is reserved for songs from the album White.
Fans can now enjoy melodies like I Will, Blackbird, Obladi Oblade, Back to the USSR, Happiness is a Hot Weapon, Savoy Truffle, Helter Skelter, Honey Pie, Son of Mother Nature, Sexy Sadie, Revolution 9, Glass Onion, Cry Baby Cry, Julia, Rocky Raccoon, and others from the album. I do not know how they are going to do it, but they'd better get Harrison's wonderful composition, while My Guitar Gently Weeps goes down perfectly.
Tickets for Bootleg Beatles are now available at ticketworld.com.ph, smtickets.com, ticketnet By the way, speaking of birthdays, this year marks the 50th anniversary of another Beatles flagship release , the feature film Yellow Submarine. Released in theaters in 1968, the picture was based on the Lennon-McCartney nonsense song of the same title that was included in the 1966 Revolver album.
The soundtrack includes Only A Northern Song, All together now, Hey Bulldog, It's all too much, all you need is love and the yellow submarine.
