LONDON (Reuters) – British Brexit Secretary David Davis has resigned because of a meeting with a cabinet minister for the first time. Theresa May's plans to leave the European Union.

The loss of her Brexit negotiator at May's Checkers country residence is a blow to the prime minister and underlines the deep divisions in her ruling Conservative Party over Britain's departure from the US

"He is exchanging letters with the PM, "the source said. When Checked Out, the source added: "Checkers."

After an hours-long meeting at Checkers, May seemed to have the most vocal Brexit campaigners in the firm, including Davis, to back her plan to press

Sterling was little changed after the news of Davis' resignation and stood at just over $ 1.33.
