By the time his concert at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena sounded the last note on July 20, the superstar of international singing Celine Dion was clearly moved by the love Pinoy
After playing brilliantly and talentfully with more than a dozen of her greatest hits for three decades, she donned her hair. epic "My Heart" Go "On" Titanic ", which for so many years has been the most profitable film in the world, people were on their feet.
They chanted his name and begging for only one more number of his vast vault of discography or sky knows what they could have done, and who can blame them? "His Pinoy fans had been waiting for so long, keeping their faith despite the Cancellation of what would have been his first engagement here several years ago.
These are people who have he grew up on his music, listening to them in singing competitions, on the radio, on the telephone, with neighbors and friends who became enemies, then friends; at the mall, the elevator, in weddings and, perhaps, even in funerals. That's why, through the trend of EDM and what else, Celine has remained close to their hearts as does the family. Like the Holy Ghost or your shadow, she was there when you did it, no matter what it was.
Even the singer, herself, realized that moment that people will not let her – that it was impossible to go against such pure and boundless adulation. Apparently almost in tears several times throughout her speech, recognizing the love that had fallen on her, she confessed "it was all" that they had prepared for that night.
But the crowd continued to roar. logistics to set up a show on the other side of the world. We thought that she seemed apologetic that her concert in Manila only then pushed through.
In the end, however, no sorry was needed. Celine said that the connection she has with Filipinos is not just about music, but about the ability to "love".
And with that, she closed her eyes, quickly searched her heart, and improvised a capella a few lines of the song "She can not help falling in love" It was her answer, her salvation to faithful disciples.
Then she says, "Stay safe, Manila." Then she turned away, then the lights went on. By that time, the standing ovation had appeared after eight minutes
Then, again, it was just one of many magical moments. Celine, still able to hit the high notes and dance, delivered an almost-touched repertoire from her best-selling albums. Yet, we have always missed "Immortality", "Where is my heart beaten now," "I love you, goodbye," "Take chances," "Tell him," "I love you," "Prayer," "Alone," "I drove all night," and so much more. As she had professed to have fallen in love with Pinoys, another Celine concert in the future is not a far-fetched idea at all.
To quote a phrase from his song, we believe because "Love can move the mountains."
