The 25-year-old rapper whose first name is Chancelor Allan Bennet won world recognition when his second Acid Rap mixtape, released in 2012, has become a hit with hip-hop critics.
It has been downloaded over a million and a half times by DatPiff.com, a website that compiles free mixtapes of hiphop and rap artists
. Mixtape Coloring Book which gave Bennet the fame and prestige usually reserved for industry legends and veterans.
The mixtape made his eighth-place debut on the Billboard 200 chart and won the Best Rap Award at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
Praise for Bennet comes from his use of Christian themes in his lyrics and his preference for Jazz melodies and influenced by the piano on the traditional rhythms of rap and hip-hop.
