“We’re excited to embrace new technology that improves our ability to engage our audiences in space station research”, said David Brady, assistant program scientist for the International Space Station Program Science Office at Johnson.

Last week, Russian investigators traced the rocket failure to a bent sensor and cleared Soyuz rockets for a series of launches, leading up to the delivery of a different set of spacefliers in December.

Russia’s State Space Corporation Roscosmos confirmed on Tuesday that one of the three computers on the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS) had been out of service due to a software glitch.

The 17-meter (55-foot) core module was a star attraction at the biennial Airshow China in the southern coastal city of Zhuhai, the country’s main aerospace industry exhibition. It will be central to the space station’s operations, as astronauts will live there and control the entire station from inside it.

Chinese authorities aim to complete the assembly of the space station by 2022 with a projected lifespan of around ten years. China announced earlier this year that they would allow other countries to conduct experiments on-board Tiangong.

Roskosmos said Russian flight controllers plan to reboot the faulty computer – one of the three in the station’s Russian module – on November 8.

The company SpaceX Elon musk will orbit the satellite, which is seen from Earth is its only goal. China has received 40 from 27 countries and regions, proposals that still need to be the subject of a selection, reported in October, State television CCTV.

The European Space Agency has sent astronauts to China to receive training in order to be ready to work inside the Chinese space station once it is launched. She also hopes to send a robot on Mars and humans on the Moon.
