KATHMANDU: Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Gokarna Raj Bista has all the states in the Colombo Process for collective leadership and shared responsibility to achieve the Process' objectives.
Minister Bista said the Chair-in-Office of the Sixth Ministerial Consultation of the Colombo Process held here today.
Stating that safe and dignified labor migration is receiving the attention of the SDGs and the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration to be adopted next month that Colombo Process recommendations have been incorporated into the GCM framework document.
"The Colombo Process marks its fifteenth year of existence since its inception in 2003." We need to evaluate whether we are able to fulfill our objectives. As we chart our way forward, these lessons should guide their activities so that they are result-oriented with visible results that make a difference to the migrant worker and their families, "the Labor Minister insisted.
He stated that he shared the experience of being a member of the board of directors, and that he had shared his experience with others.
