Rick Famuyiwa will produce Disney's next "Sadé".

Sadé will be the first African character to direct a Disney princess film. (Shuri's "Black Panther" does not count, since Letitia Wright, who played the character, did not receive the highest rating.) In almost 100 years, the studio's fairy tales had only one female character Central Black, Tiana in 2009 "The Princess and the Frog", in New Orleans, which vaguely inspires from a fable.

Disney is about to release his latest live film, "Christopher Robin," featuring all of your favorite Hundred Acre Wood of Winnie the Pooh, next week. Other projects being developed at the studio include "Aladdin", "Mulan", a sequel "Maleficent" and "The Lion King".

And if the Disney princesses of the animated variety are your thing, then go for a theater when "Ralph Breaks the Internet", a sequel "Wreck-It Ralph", hits in November. It will bring together the full range of princesses in a scene, and from what we have seen, it is glorious.
