MANILA – Secretary of Health Francisco Duque III on Thursday reported outbreaks in parts of Metro Manila following the increasing number of cases of leptospirosis in the last two weeks.

-Bagbag (3 cases), Silangan (5), Batasan Hills (9), Commonwealth (7), Novaliches Proper (4), Payatas (5), Pinyahan (3), Vasra (4);
City of Taguig
-Butut Bicutan (5), Village of Maharlika (3), Signal Village (4), West Bicutan (4),
City of Pasig
-Pinagbuhatan (4)
Town of Parañaque
-BF Houses (3), San Dionisio (3)
City of Navotas
-North Bay Blvd. South (3);
Mandaluyong City
-Addition Hills (3);
Malabon City
-Concepcion (3)
The symptoms of leptospirosis include high fever, muscle pain, redness of the eyes, yellowing of skin, colored urine of tea, decrease of the production of urine, cough, diarrhea and vomiting.
