The Ministry of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said it would simplify the terms of financial aid intended for formal sector workers displaced by the closure of the island of Boracay to Aklan.
DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III stated that displaced and suspended workers who will benefit from the Boracay Employment Program Emergency Program (BEEP-AMP) only need submit one or two requirements.

The successful employees will receive a lump sum of 6,308.25 pesos covering three months of assistance or P2 102.75 per month.
Workers in the sector and Indigenous Peoples (IPs) affected by the closure of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay program its Disadvantaged Advantage / Displaced Workers (TUPAD). It provides emergency jobs in a form of community work for 30 days.
