NVIDIA's GeForce RTX series, which they thought would be more likely than ever before. That turned out to be just the case, suggesting that NVIDIA's suggested price of $ 999.

Whether $ 999 is a lot of money or not depends on your perspective, but it is not what we expected, given historical trends. Nonetheless, if you are willing to cough up $ 999, but not $ 1,200, your options have been truly limited. Fortunately, EVGA seems to understand that issue, and has finally launched an official $ 999 variant.

The new card is called the RTX 2080 Ti Black Edition, and with an all-black design, the result is a very attractive graphics card. It's one that should cool well, too, since it sports new "hydro dynamic bearing" plastered fans with mini EVGA logos that help reduce noise and increase fan lifespan. It even includes a free "trim kit" which will allow you to spice up the card with a black or white trim.

While the "Black Edition" name gives the impression that the card could be overclocked, this model is spec'd identically to the RTX 2080 Ti reference. That means we have a 1545MHz boost clock, and 14GHz memory clocks delivering 616 GB / s of bandwidth.
