A new feature has more accurate arrival times and avoids restricted roads
Google will find its way more easily because Google has just launched its new "mode" motorcycle "on Google maps for the Philippines.
The new feature is designed to more accurately reflect the traffic situation of a motorcycle. The use of the mode will direct the driver to routes more suited to motorcycles. The Moto mode makes better use of the unique benefits of a motorcycle, like passing through narrower streets, and gives hints using landmarks that are difficult to catch up along the way. Designed for motorcycles with small cubic capacity of less than 400 cc, this mode also allows users of the application to avoid restricted roads such as highways and high bypass roads
This mode has been added to Google Maps in response to the growing number of motorcyclists in the country. According to Google, there are 4.1 million motorcycle owners in the Philippines.
Previously, motorcyclists often performed a mental arithmetic to estimate their arrival times based on a combination of foot and car journeys. Now, the app can estimate more precisely the time of arrival by itself. In addition, the app helps avoid distraction by providing the rider with easy-to-remember routes, using landmarks along the way.
Moto mode is now available with the latest Google Maps update. To use it, simply enter a destination, select the motorcycle tab and start your trip.
