City of ILOILO – The Deputy Security Executive Mayor Jose Espinosa III seeks additional security men for the city's general manager.

Felix Muchada, a retired colonel, cited the recent series of murders, particularly those targeting local officials.

Espinosa is still on the barangays control ground, according to Muchada, making the mayor vulnerable to some neighborhoods that may have sinister agenda.

Espinosa currently maintains two personal bodyguards.

Muchada said that four police auxiliaries were going to insure the mayor during a field work.

Last Friday, businessman Ranny Bibangco was shot dead by an unidentified gunman at the Iloilo terminal market. The Ely Tipanan tricycle driver was also shot dead in Barangay Baldoza, La Paz district.

Trece Martires, Deputy Mayor Cavite Alexander Lubigan was also shot four days later on July 7.
