The Chief of Staff of the Air Galilee Gerard R. Kintanar thanked President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for his support to the modernization of the Philippine Air Force (PAF).

Kintanar made this remark in a speech he made on the 71st anniversary of the founding of the PAF which was held Tuesday at the PAF Multipurpose Gymnasium, Col Jesus Villamor Air Base, City of Pasay .

President Duterte was the guest of honor of the anniversary rites that had the theme "The blue team at maximum speed to integrate the efforts restoration of air defense capabilities for peace and resilient development ". Kintanar to the crowd. our appreciation to our Commander-in-Chief for his immediate commitment to supporting the second horizon of our modernization, which includes the acquisition of multipurpose rotary and fixed wing equipment as well as unmanned aerial and ground systems ", he added.

Kintanar also thanked other senior government officials and agency heads for helping the PAF gain a foothold in strategic locations nationwide.

Kintanar said that "PAF is entering its 71st year. It has also stepped up its engagement with several air forces, in addition to its traditional allies, in accordance with the Duterte Government's independent foreign policy program."
