The bitter quarrel between the Oasis brothers is as legendary as their music, and two stadiums have now entered the fray amid rumors of a reunion concert.
Liam Gallagher set the wheels in motion when he tweeted a message to his brother Noel on Thursday, suggesting an Oasis meeting.
The Britpop star tweeted: "Earth to noel listen rkid J hear hear concerts where people can not drink alcohol now it's the BeZarist thing that you did I forgive me now let's put the BIG O together and stop ****** about drinks are on me LG x. "
He added in a second tweet:" Cmon. "
There was radio silence Christmas but Oasis fans were sent into a frenzy on the potential meeting. Two stadiums then joined the exchange by offering to host the return concert of the brothers
Manchester City's official Twitter account responded to Liam's tweet by offering a show at the Etihad stadium, to which Wembley Stadium ironically asked, "What is your capacity?"
Manchester City replied: "What is the price of your tickets?"
Wembley replied, "Why, what event do you want to come "I warn you most are sold."
The last salvo of the unofficial Twitter account of the Manchester City Etihad stadium was: "Not worth the reservation in future events. You could be sold from here there and turned into parking ??. "
To which Manchester City replied:" Love you x. "
Hopeful fans may, however, be disappointed, as Noel told the BBC in November, he will never play again with his former band.
Oasis broke up in 2009 after an argument that allegedly began with Liam throwing a plum at the head of his brother
is touring with his band High Flying Birds.
