SAN DIEGO (AP) – Actors promoting their latest movies and television series are not the only stars of Comic-Con International: thousands of fans who make costumes for the convention give it a unique character .

The four day extravaganza provides amazing pop culture mashups – zombies mingling with the superheroes of various comics and many other custom creations. Approximately 130,000 people head to the San Diego Convention Center for Comic-Con, which features panels on everything from comics to Hollywood blockbuster movies.
