Nearly 1.2 million visitors arrive in 4 major cemeteries in Manila

Nearly 1.2 million visitors have already entered the four main cemeteries in Manila on Thursday, the Manila Police District (MPD) said.

A report from the MPD District Tactical Operations Center showed that at 1 am, 1,199,894 visitors had entered the northern cemeteries of Manila and La Loma, both located in Santa Cruz; Manila South Cemetery in Makati City; and the Chinese Cemetery of Manila.

Specifically, Manila North Cemetery had the highest number of visitors, 1,060,753; followed the cemetery of Manila South with 83 861 visitors; La Loma Cemetery with 50,280; Chinese Cemetery of Manila with 5,000 visitors.

At the same time, the authorities confiscated a number of objects banned from visitors to the four main cemeteries in Manila. Among the prohibited items seized were: 281 packets of cigarettes, 293 flammable items, 116 bladed weapons and 24 gardening tools. / kga
