The series of comics written by Budjette Tan and illustrated by Kajo Baldisimo will be an anime of Netflix
SOON ON NETFLIX. The comic series "Trese" by Budjette Tan will soon be shown as anime on Netflix.
SINGAPORE – An anime based on Trese, a series of comics by Budjette Tan, Filipino storyteller, will soon be broadcast on Netflix.
The announcement was made during the event "See What's Next Asia" organized by Netflix at Marina Bay Sands on Thursday, November 8th. No release date has been announced.
Written by Budjette and illustrated by Kajo Baldisimo, Trese follows the adventures of the investigator Alexandra Trese, called when scenes of crime seem to have a supernatural implication. Throughout the series, Trese regularly deals with Filipino monsters and paranormal beings, including aswang, kapre, and tikbalang.
The show will be produced by Jakarta and BASE Entertainment, based in Singapore. Jay Oliva is executive producer. – Rappler.com
