We should be wondering why rapper 50 Cent has found humorous to openly mock the Crews experience on social media. We should ask ourselves why events like this are so common, but go largely unnoticed.
A strong male character like Crews who identifies as a victim of sexual assault bothers a lot of people, and he should be it. However, it should be disturbing for the same reason that any sexual assault is disturbing, not because it does not fit the stereotypical mold of a victim.
