The National Weather Agency follows a Low Pressure Zone (LPA) east of Mindanao.

The APL was last spotted 715 kilometers east of Surigao del Norte. Posted Friday by the Philippine Geophysical and Atmospheric Atmospheric Services Administration (Pagasa).

Meanwhile, the agency said that Metro Manila, Bulacan, Pampanga, Surigao del Norter, Southern Surigao, Compostela Valley will have a cloudy sky with scattered rain and thunderstorms Friday

Pagasa said that the southwestern monsoon continues to affect the western part of the country.

Monsoon rains are expected on the western Visayas, Palawan, Mindoro, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite and Batangas, said Pagasa. / kga
