Rainbow Six Siege players who use slurs are now banned instantly

Drop the hate speech in Rainbow Six Siege now comes with automatic consequences. Since yesterday, dozens of players said they were automatically banned after using a racist or homophobic insult in the chat. Ubisoft has confirmed to PC Gamer via e-mail that a new ban system is online in Siege.

These bans seem to last 27 minutes in the first instance, and prevent anyone from playing any aspect of Siege, including Terrorist Hunt or custom games. On second and third offense, the ban increases to 2 hours. After the third offense, an official account investigation is conducted that could lead to a permanent ban, according to the Headquarters Code of Conduct .
