Last August, Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 670 mobile platform, replacing Snapdragon 660 from last year. Today, we will compare the new OPPO R17 Neo and Samsung Galaxy A6 to Realme 2 Pro, which happens to the most affordable smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 660 currently on sale in India.

The Realme 2 Pro is available in three memory configurations in India. At the price of 13,990 INR is the basic configuration with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Realme 2 Pro with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage costs 15,990 INR, while the high-end variant of 8 GB of RAM + 128 GB is priced at 17,990 INR. Until now, the Samsung Galaxy A6s has only been launched in China, where the smartphone costs 1,799 yuan (about 19,000 INR) for the 64GB storage version and 2,199 yuan (about 23,300 INR) for the 128GB storage version. The price of the OPPO R17 Neo is JPY 38,988 (around 25,100 INR) in Japan, while in Europe the smartphone costs 349 EUR (approximately INR 29,000).

The Realme 2 Pro features a Dewdrop design with 15-layer laminate technology and a shiny faux-glass back effect. At the front we have a large 6.3 inch full screen IPS screen with Full HD + 1080 x 2340 resolution and a 19.5: 9 aspect ratio. Thanks to the tiny Dewdrop notch at the top of the screen. Screen, Realme 2 Pro displays an impressive screen-to-screen ratio of 90.8%. The Samsung Galaxy A6, meanwhile, is offered with a glass sandwich similar to the flagship smartphones of the company. Realme 2 Pro is available in three memory configurations: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 64GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. It also includes a dedicated microSD card slot for later expansion. However, unlike the other two smartphones, the Snapdragon 660 chipset of Realme 2 Pro is clocked at 1.95 GHz instead of the usual 2.2 GHz.

OPPO R17 Neo, on the other hand, comes in a single version with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For later expansion, the smartphone also has a microSD card slot.

Realme 2 Pro runs on ColorOS 5.2 software based on Android 8.1 Oreo with AI Power Master and some other functions assisted by AI. The Samsung Galaxy A6, on the other hand, runs on the old Android 8.0 Oreo version with Samsung's custom UX layer on top. OPPO R17 Neo runs on Android 8.1 ColorOS 5.2 based on Oreo, just like the Realme 2 Pro.

OPPO R17 Neo also comes with a dual camera configuration at the back. While the main sensor is a 16MP unit, the 2MP secondary sensor is only used for depth detection. The Samsung Galaxy A6s has a battery with a capacity still smaller of 3,300 mAh. OPPO R17 Neo, on the other hand, contains a battery with a capacity of 3600 mAh.

From the point of view of connectivity, the three smartphones are equipped with dual 802.1 Wi-Fi band a / b / g / n / ac, low power Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS and 4G VoLTE.

The Realme 2 Pro, although the most affordable of the three, is comparable to the more expensive Samsung Galaxy A6 and OPPO R17 Neo, in most areas, with the exception of manufacturing quality. The Samsung Galaxy A6 and OPPO R17 Neo both feature a premium glass sandwich design. The OPPO smartphone also offers a built-in digital fingerprint sensor, which differentiates it from the other two smartphones. That said, the winner of this comparison is undoubtedly the Realme 2 Pro, which offers specifications comparable to the Samsung and OPPO offers at a much lower price. And in terms of memory, the Realme 2 Pro has a length ahead of its two competitors since it has up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
