Spider-Man, Thor, Incredible Hulk: These are some of the iconic superheroes created by Marvel legend, Stan Lee. Sadly, Stan–born Stanley Martin Lieber–died due to pneumonia last November 12, 2018 at the age of 95.
The creations of Stan Lee continue to make an impact to our lives as they never cease to inspire and entertain us. True fans of the iconic comic book writer were saddened by the news of his passing, and as Stan Lee is known for his cameos in Marvel films–it’s dawning upon people that his last cameo to be anticipated by fans might be in the upcoming Avengers movie.
At an early age, Lee loves to write and craft stories inspired by his favorite books and movies, until he started working as an assistant at a comic publishing company – Timely Comics, which is now known as Marvel Comics.
Over the course of his career, Stan Lee became the Marvel’s Editor-in-Chief, which allowed him to pursue his dreams to create his own tales. He was able to publish his prolific creations including Thor, Ant-Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Cyclops, Marvel Girl and many more.
The Marvel universe has a multitude of characters accomplished by Lee with the help of other collaborators. It includes the greatest team of superheroes and of course, awesome villains. These characters won the hearts of both casual readers and hardcore fans, as Lee’s works appeal to our sense of adventure.
Celebrities who worked with Lee, as well as those who admire him, have expressed their gratitude and condolences through social media.
There will never be another Stan Lee. For decades he provided both young and old with adventure, escape, comfort, confidence, inspiration, strength, friendship and joy. He exuded love and kindness and will leave an indelible mark on so, so, so many lives. Excelsior!!
