Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte oversaw a public ceremony to destroy more than 60 luxury vehicles smuggled into the country
. Duterte looked like a bulldozer and the excavators crushed nearly 300 million pesos ($ 7.4 million) of luxury vehicles, including a Lamborghini, Porsche, Mercedes Benz and Harley-Davidson.
In a speech after the ceremony, Mr. Duterte said the destruction was a demonstration of his administration's harsh stance on illegal importers.
"I decided to destroy these [contraband vehicles] because you have to show the world that you have a viable place of investment and business," said Mr. Duterte. for his tough anti-criminal policies
