It is obvious that the star status of Megastar Sharon Cuneta could not be more palpable. Cuneta recently took to her Instagram to share to her fans that she had been presented the "HISTORY Maker Award" in 2018 by HISTORY, A + E Networks Asia's leading global fact-based entertainment brand.
A + E Networks Asia is owned by the award-winning global media company A + E Networks, whose brands include television channels such as HISTORY (formerly The History Channel), FYI, and Lifetime.
"What an honor, thank you, Jesus, for another wonderful surprise!" Cuneta wrote on her Instagram on July 21. "I'm overwhelmed, my heart!"
Cuneta sent her the letter from A + E Networks, according to which the History Maker Award is only awarded to a special group whose talent and sacrifices have had an impact on the life and culture of the country Among the former winners are Brillante Mendoza, Independent filmmaker, Ryan Cayabyab, composer, Hidilyn Diaz, Olympic silver medalist, and Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2015, to name only a few.
"We are deeply convinced of your accomplishments The HISTORY Maker Award alongside other Filipino luminaries from different areas of expertise, "writes the letter.
Cuneta is undoubtedly immortalized in Filipino showbiz, with no less than 50 films to his credit and a string of prizes stigious of the Philippine Academy of Arts and Cinema Science (FAMAS), the Gawad Urian Awards and the Metro Manila Film Festival Awards, among others.
The awards ceremony will be held at the World Trade Center in Manila on August 11th. will be one of the highlights of HISTORY Con 2018. The world-class convention marks this year their third, with its first two being an overwhelming success While the number of participants has climbed from 50,000 in 2016 to around 68,000 in 2017. One can only imagine the hordes of who would gather for this year's convention.
Meanwhile, the HISTORY Maker Award from Cuneta attests that she is a timeless icon – an icon that really deserves the title of "Megastar".
