The Police Bureau of the National Capital Region (NCRPO) announced Tuesday in its evaluation that the protests in Metro Manila L & State of the nation (SONA) went "very peaceful without untoward incident".

"[I am] ] satisfied and very grateful for the results of the security coverage established at the opening of the 17th Congress and the Address of the Nation (SONA) 2018 which concluded generally peaceful without any untoward incident, "said the Superintendent Principal Guillermo Eleazar, director of NCRPO and commander of the SONA security task force (STF).

Eleazar stated that SONA's peaceful and orderly leadership of rotests was the result of their preparation and coordination with leaders of the cause-oriented groups and other stakeholders.

The NCRPO Final Evaluation Report indicated that anti-Duterte protesters numbered 15,000 around 16:30. as they converged and held a United People's SONA in front of St. Peter's Parish along Commonwealth Avenue

Among the groups that were participating were Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (BAYAN), Akbayan, Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU), Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP). Kalipunan Damayang Mahihirap (Kadamay), Gabriela, Sanlakas and Health Alliance Democracy.

Bayan Secretary General Renato Reyes had his own estimates and claimed that the SONA of the United People was the "biggest gathering" of the Duterte administration. 40,000 participants.

The programs of the anti- and pro-Duterte groups end at 19:12. and 19:15, respectively.

Eleazar said that 7,000 PNP personnel had been augmented by members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the Office of Fire Protection (BFP) Prison Management and the Penology (BJMP) and the Quezon City Local Government Unit were deployed to secure the rallying points.
