Superhero movies have become an industry in their own right, an economic force that rivals the GDP of some small nation-states. The directors Horvath and Peter Rida Michail have created an unhappy chimera, seeking to recreate the lo-fi appeal of a comedy that takes place in 15-minute segments by making it explode into an action madness musical, and the results are less than the sum of its parts.
However, there is a niche to fill with such a fast shrinking of the increasingly bloated world of cinematographic film adaptations.
